Some Poetry

Just read at and give me your honest opinion. I had to write poetry for Language Arts and I have the opportunity to submit it to a contest.

Life

Life is a clock
The clock ticks
The clock tocks

The clock can be Regular or Ornate
Beautiful or Ugly
Strong or Weak

One major component of the clock is the gears
The gears keep the clock of life moving
The gears keep the ticks ticking and the tocks tocking
The gears are very sensitive though
In times of hate and negativity the gears slow and stop

When the gears stop, the clock of life stops ticking, it stops tocking
Life does not have to stop, does not have to end due to hate or negativity
The individual that owns the clock in their soul has to fix the clock, to overcome the hate and negativity
To keep it moving, ticking, and tocking
To keep the wonderful element of life going to the fullest
With happiness and joy
Friends and family

Life is a clock
Work hard to keep that clock moving
Never give up, never quit

Not all poems need to rhyme, just look at Frost or Shakespeare.
